Dark Spots

"... there are known knowns; there are things that we know that we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know.”

Dark spots are areas where we have a lack of information on a topic or issue, which if addressed could significantly advance a body of knowledge.

A key finding of a recent report by the Office of the Auditor General was the opportunity to use information more effectively to improve social housing.

Using information to drive everything an organisation does is a key tenet of i3. Decisions are informed by information / intelligence, problems are solved by using information to drive insights and create opportunities.

How many dark spots exist in your organisation that if addressed could solve long-standing probems or realise signficant opportunities?
